EXIT POLLS interesting shit

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pag.../epolls.0.html

people who voted Bush are likely:

-to attend church more than once a week
-own a gun
-had kids under the age of 18
-be single
-moral values are most important
-most important is religious FAITH

- feel safer from terrorism now than 4 years ago....

4 years ago is before 9/11 happenned.
LOL

-iraq is part of the war on terrorism

I'm a gun totting redneck who got knocked up before the age of 18, yet I go to church everyday and moral values are the most important to me.

Analysts here are saying Bush is dangerous for the world because he is a Fundamentalist.

He is as bad as a fundamentalist muslim.

he cannot be told he is wrong because he can't be wrong. God is with him.

ok, that being said...

let's send another 25,000 young men and women to die in an unnessary war. It's the RIGHT THING TO DO!"

I don't honestly think that Bush is really all that conservative or even religious.

Bush switched religions many times. I can't remember the actual progression (I don't really care all that much either) .. but I know he went from like Protistan to Methodist etc. He is not and never was catholic.

In the 2000 election Bush's campaign actually missed out on a lot of votes based on religious issues. He was viewed by most as a capitalist. This is what concerns me most. It seems all the people who voted for him based on religious and moral issues have just forgotten George W. pre-2000.

For the first 8 months of Bush's term, pre-9/11 he had the lowest approval rating of any president, ever. He was barely ever in office.

The last 2-3 years I think Bush has been trying to regain the religious demographic. He's been playing it up by speaking out against abortion, gay marriage. He's the first president to ever make a political appearance in a church. And I think Kerry's campaign, among other things, neglected that. They were counting on non-religious 'liberals' who hate Bush to win them the election. But Bush knew better because he had been there. He knew that to win the election he'd have to go after the religious crowd. He's known that since the 2000 election.

The next 4 years will be interesting. I have a feeling that the 'religious/moral' crowd will be disappointed. Though that hardly means that we will find ourselves, as adult webmasters, pleasantly surprised. I just don't think Bush is going to deliver on a lot. I think most of the last couple of years have been crafted to keep his job. And now that he doesn't have to worry about it anymore, maybe he'll go back to playing golf 5 days a week.

Bush got his Jesus votes and since he doesn't have to worry about re-election he's under no obligation to cater to them. I'm not saying he won't, but he knows he doesn't have to.

Exit polls also predicted Kerry was winning. I don't put a lot of faith in them

Exit polls are BS. People lie. I would. It no one's business who I voted for unless I WANT to tell them. If you come up in my face after I walk out of the polling place ans ask me who I voted for I'd lie just to fuck up your poll.
