Me and my Best Friend (PIC)

I have lunch with him ever week. My kickass 92 year old Grandpa Caleb.

Pic taken last weekend at a family wedding (he performed as minister) in Sedona.

This was ANOTHER wedding. I've been to 4 in the last couple months. I spoke in 3 of them. I dyed my hair black for 2 of them.

My grandma is 93 and she just got back from Germany. The key is staying active!

I was out last week with my grandfather hanging out, he's 85 and still hoists a few beers with the crew.

Its amazing to talk to him and his friends, Those guys have seen ALOT of shit in their time from the great depression as kids to WW2 as young men in their late teen - early 20's, moon landings and all points inbetween.

I hope to be the old guy one day talking about the net "back in the day when we only had cable modems to the house", lol..

I'm happy to share mine while he's still here.

My grandpa was a minister and worked briefly with MLK.

Now he calls himself a baptist budhist. He's amazingly zenned out and has a lot of wisdom.

I actually hired a film student to film our lunches so I can cut a DVD for his great grandkids. And for myself, since I will miss him more than I can think of right now.

I did not know my grandfather well, He died when i was about 4 or 5 I remember some things about him but not very much. I talked to my mom about him and I knew he was in WWII but I didnt know that much. About 2 months ago I found out that he was in the 101st airborne and that he also fought in the battle of the bulge. I now have a picture of him taken from over seas somewhere in Europe in some small town after a major shelling. All in his BDU's and Thompson. I wish he would have lived longer I would have loved to known him. To me he is one of my heros.

I would like to correct that to "age CAN teach you a lot". I have known plenty of stupid old people who didn't learn shit during their lives.
