Why does the US spend so much on their military every year anyway?
It's pretty obvious that the US has the biggest and best military out there.... I mean, I saw a chart recently that showed the US spends double what their allies spend, and the allies spend double what any possible threat nations spend... so, that means the US is spending 4 times what their possible threats are spending. Why?
Wouldn't it make sense to take a fraction of that expense and put it towards something like.. oh.. I don't know... health care? Is it really needed to spend so much on the military?
