RELAX! Porn is going nowhere..

If Bush or anyone else decides to regulate the industry, it might not be as bad as you think.

Free porn may have to be turned into paid porn.

At that point it will not be that hard for free sites to go with companies who have pay solutions for them set up already.

Imagine this:

You are a free movie site and you don't know the first thing about getting your own processor and/or anything else but getting traffic, there are companies who will provide co=branded skins to make look as if its your own and do your processing and content management for you.

So what if Free porn is no longer aloud....

Don't you think people will still pay for smut?

This will only clean up the bullshit and keep the real players alive.

Its not that bad.

Although vague obscenety laws can be disturbing.

Things do not get much Vague than the 2257 Proposal.

Thats the direction we are headed in. Webmasters will be safe promoting us. We took the measures to become compliant with the Proposed Regs if they happen to pass. took us 6 months and 1000's of man hours.

Free Turnkey TGP
TURNKEY TGP enables you to easily build your own thumbnail gallery posts. TURNKEY TGP is a unique first of its kind program which pays you $30 per trial sale.

Create the look and feel of your own hosted TGP and choose your own sub-domain. Or just use the default settings its totally up to you... XXXPIX.com incorporates all our programs and sites under one domain, so there are many ways you can promote your TGP.

How you get traffic to your Free Turnkey TGP is up to you. The sites are laid out like a TGP with 1000s of free galleries the marketing potential is unlimited since you can promote the site as free or promote each individual niche.
? $30 per Trial sale your TGP produces
? Easy stats and payments made twice a month
? You control the Top 20 links on your TGP, use it to promote your sites, add more hosted galleries, Promote other products Or trade traffic its up to You
? We will update the galleries for maximum conversion and to create sticky end users for you to convert over and over again.
? Example of 11 Free TURNKEY TGP templates: BTW you can change the header graphic to your own logo or mix and match the header logo?s with the templates
http://blackandwhite.xxxpix.com
http://blueandyellow.xxxpix.com
http://cracked.xxxpix.com
http://purpleandgreen.xxxpix.com
http://wave.xxxpix.com
http://star.xxxpix.com
http://lips.xxxpix.com
http://greenbars.xxxpix.com
http://flowerpower.xxxpix.com
http://ripped.xxxpix.com
http://redarrow.xxxpix.com

TURNKEY TGP was built for all webmasters with traffic. You can use it as an exit; place it on SE, Trade traffic with TGPs etc. It was built to retain and convert your traffic.

Imagine a program built to create sticky surfers it might not convert like other programs in the beginning but eventually it will convert them all over and over again. It doesnt get better than this, free hosting, free content and free traffic

So, what are you waiting for? Get with the Program!!

Do you for one minute think maybe he is not interested in loosing all the money that comes from porn when he knows you can still have porn coming from offshore countries?

Bush is not interested in loosing the funds that add to this country from porn businesses.

It only helps his warchest.

The government can regulate US businesses only

Foriegn webmasters will continue to do as they please

It remains to be seen how they will go after porn on the web ... it's likely that they will make examples of a few people.

Skate and cross the line with violent and abusive porn (like rob black) and you're going to shine the light on yourself no doubt, however - nobody is really safe.

2257?

Yeah, that's another issue - clean your dirty porn houses and try to follow the rules as closely as possible and you "SHOULD BE" ok!

.... well, hopefully

They'll alwasy try to use the "fight to eradicate porn" as a diversion from the war and other idomestic issues, as well as 'pay back" for the religious rights support

Bottom line guys, tone down your extreme porn sites and build up more mainstream sites.

You're sitting ducks if you don't.

Not everyone is from the united states to begin with ... webmasters internationally would quickly feast on any legal constraints we face here domestically, and rightfully attempt to take advantage

but, whenever there are regulations ... opportunities for smart people are opened

But the point you raise is exactly what a lot of people miss. The distinction between porn existing andthe people involved in porn.

Yes, PORN will ALWAYS be around. It's not going anywhere. The same doesn't hold true for any individual involved in porn.

If all Russian porn webmasters were locked up, would porn end? No, but it would suck for Russian porn webmasters. Similarly if US porn webmasters couldn't produce it any more, porn would still exist, but it would that really matter if you're locked up?

Everybody agrees that porn isn't going anywhere. We're concerned with US webmasters being able to work in porn.

Visa/Mastercard do not hate porn.

They hate the fact that porn has high risks for chargebacks which can make them loose money.

So you're saying that 2% in chargebacks makes them lose money? That's why they prefer to shut down processors earning millions in good fair sales, because of the 1-2% of chargebacks they produce?

I think what a lot of people on this board are suddenly becoming aware of, is how badly run the porn business is.

If you want to sell burgers you have a health inspector come in and make sure you're not shitting in the fries.

If you want to do nails its a year+ in school and a state cert.

doing SMOG CHECKS requres a cert (at least in my state)

Doing porn? Nothing. I know 5 people in this biz that were doing it at 17 years old or less and includes 2 models who told me after the fact.

When you look around and realize that 90% of the people you do business with are tax evading jackasses without any paperwork to cover their asses on any important issues, it can make you scared. This is what we're seeing.

Remember that both CDA and COPA were passed on Clinton's watch (if liberals can say 9/11 happened on Bush's, then I can say CDA happened on Clinton's)

to me it's not so much about them passing a copa type law. If that happens it will be challenged in court and in most cases be struck down. The supreme court itself said in it's last ruling on copa that only 40% of the free porn comes from US based webmasters so regulating it is basically a worthless fight. What could be scary is obscenity cases. They can go after just about anything, anywhere. Will they win? So far they have yet to win a case where the people fought back, but I wonder how many people on this board have the money to put up a long, involved defense?

I was never worried about bush making another copa like law, remeber the first one came under clinton. What I am worried about is bush and his christian fundementalist coming after people with obscenity charges.

hopefully all of the people on this board and others that supported bush were right and nothing will happen. . . I guess we have to wait and see.

I think perhaps we can take Online Gambling as a parallel.

I think that Gambling sites are illegal in the US (correct? I'm not 100% certain). But they used to be legal here. They were driven offshore instead of simply being 'regulated'.

Did online gambling stop? No, it's still here and it's here to stay. Are there companies located in the US operating gambling sites? Not likely if it's illegal.

Is gambling morally wrong? No. Is gambling obscene? No.

Is offline gamgling legal? Yes

So theoretically online porn can also be removed from the US. It doesn't mean porn is going to end, but it means your ability to work in porn if you live in the US sure can.

And if gambling really is illegal in the US, wouldn't it have been better to legalize it, but regulate it, so that the Government can earn tax dollars from it? After all online gambling is an even larger industry than porn.

If it didn't work for gambling, why would it work for adult, which has just as many if not more negatives in the public view (it's dirty, immoral, degrading, etc)

LOL thanks Jay. I'm seriously throwing this question out for answers. Hearing people go on and on about how "porn is here to stay, it's been around since the middle ages" gets old. We already know that. We know porn is here to stay, but we don't know if we'll be allowed to make our line of business as US citizens. But maybe they know something I don't. I want to learn.

I know that if I was a hardline Republican and with all the CP crap online, I would draft a bill to eradicate ALL porn. That way it's cost effective. You don't have to see if this one or that one is following 2257 notices bullshit. Just remove all US based porn and the CP problem is easier to stop because any porn in the US is illegal.

Gambling is legal in certain parts of the country, it's just not legal in most.

I guess You can't really say that for anything because then we could say the same for arms, prostitution drugs etc...

I do see your point.

Cool Marty.

Just trying to provide an example of where all our "fears" were actually realized. People keep saying "we'll be fine, they can't remove porn, what we do is legal". Well maybe the gambling site owners said the same thing. In the end, they weren't fine.

If it was just a matter of regulation, than online gambling would be legal because they could make a killing in tax dollars from it.

"medical marijuana" is legal in some places

prostitution is legal in some parts of Nevada ...

guns are legal throughout the country with proper paper work ... hell, you could get one as a FREEBIE in some bank in Michael Moore's "Bowling for Colombine" when you open a checking account or CD or some shit

Gambling is becoming legal in more areas every year

it's all pretty odd actually

Exactly. Which is why I doubt they would be concerned about extracting tax dollars from us. If they decided to squash us, it wouldn't even be noticed by Visa, the economy, or the government coffers.

Marty nice idea but free porn is here to stay, if it can't be hosted in the USA it will be hosted in Canada or Amsterdamn or whereever. Instead of 2 meg mpegs we'll drop to 1 meg mpegs and move all hosting to Canada. And we'll move our processing out of the US problem solved and free porn isn't a bad thing its a good way of getting traffic and offering teaser stuff.
