Newbie - Top things I should focus on?

Hi,

I am just getting started into the biz and was wondering what things I should focus my efforts on. I have servers and Legal content, but I am not sure where I should start first. Any help is appreciated...

Thanks

Well the first thing is to decide on what type of site you would like to do. example free site, AVS, TGP galleries, etc and etc.

Do a little bit of research on the type of site you decide on.

Then find sponsors that match your content that you think you will be able to sell to your surfers.

Then study what is working and not working on your site and target whats working.

and last not least keep at it. You won't make it rich over night but in time and many mistakes from now you shall make a buck or 2 *LOL*

That's a synonym of: you shouldn't begin now...you'll be able to make a decent amount of cash in 6 month - 1 year....

Personnally, it took me 5 months to make quite a good amount of cash daily...in this 5 months, I tested everything and read, read, read...

If you can spend 7-8 hours a day MINIMUM reading and testing stuff while not beeing âid, then it's your think...otherwise, don't try it.

Thanks,
Steve

Best place for you to ask questions is tomsnewbiebooster.com, no matter what the question is you'll never be made fun of or insulted (unlike some other boards).

Any webmaster that offers help by ICQ or email... take them up on it 'cause you never know what you will learn.

Pick a niche to promote. It'll have to be something that doesn't make you squirm (foot fetish makes me squirm), but at the same time, something that you won't spend all day jerking off to (for me, this is pornstars). If your niche is pornstars, then you'll need to find 3 different sponsors with good pornstar sites. Take the free tours on those paysites and ask yourself if you'd signup. If there is annoying shit on the paysite such as popups or email boxes, then don't promote them.

Don't try and start a paysite, but if you want to sample what it's like to run a membership site (sort of) then check out adultcheck.com.

Don't try to make thumbnail galleries on paid hosting. The best thing is to try and make free sites, check out www.link-o-rama.com for a defenition of a free site.

AVS sites are the easiest money, and also the most solid source of income. You'll burn minimal bandwidth with avs sites. Go to www.theadultwebmaster.com and look for their archived newbie articles, there are some good guides on avs sites. Also see avsalert.com. An avs site done properly, fed with link list traffic from the avs and given time can make more money than an entire month's worth of galleries.

Try everything you have the time for. Then see what is working for you and concentrate on that, then once you have a nice stream of income coming in, start to pick apart why you weren't successful in the other areas and work on those areas while continuing to do what works.

Also, work your ass off!
