Question regarding paypal...

I have 2 computers, one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs computer is running a wireless router and the upstairs has a wireless card installed. For some reason when I try to access paypal.com, no matter what browser I get the following. Any ideas?

I forgot to mention, it's only on the upstairs computer. The one downstairs accesses it just fine.

Well it's been going on ever since the upstairs computer was brand new out of the box so I kind of had ruled that out.

When I click on the first link I get a page with just the word "information" in the top left corner. When I click the second link I get the same white page but in the top left it says this "e-Export@HomePage?É?æ?¤?±?»II"

I have tried everything like that that I could think of. I have run virus scan and adaware about a zillion times. It's nothing serious because I can still access it on the downstairs computer it just mystifies me why I would get that page and not paypal lol.

Tell them you'r e a porn webmaster while you're at it - they'll raise you to a higher level of support.

Access to paypal for an account can only be from one computer at a time. Powerdown the computer that it works on and then power cycle the one it doesn't and try again. Clear cookies too.

Other things include: Run Adaware, spyware, hijackthis and make sure your virus engine is up to date. Suggest Norton 2005.

After all that, just call a nerd friend to fix it.

Oh I know. I am just one of those anal people that needs for everything to work right and when I can't figure something out on my own it really drives me nuts. Not to the point of anything drastic but there is always a little voice in the back of my head that says, "You know...you can't access paypal on this computer...you should really get to the bottom of that."

See that's the thing that's boggling my mind. It has been this way since the day it came out of the nice Dell box so I had kind of ruled out viruses or anything but I guess anything is possible...

I know the urge and I'm one of those geeks that fixes computers. I've wasted a ton of hours on BS myself. Good luck, hope it goes quick.

I thought that maybe PayPal (worried about security) may have done something to cause your situtation. Five computers surround me, I can access my paypal account from the three I tried without an issue. (Win 2000 n XP)..

download Mozilla and see if it works with that browser. Never know what it could be. The trojan i got wouldnt let me go to google.. it kept showing up as www.google.com-/..that little hyphen slash was at the end of every page I would try to access..it always redirected me elsewhere. It did the same with the GFY page too.

Can you load any other https:// websites? Perhaps a firewall on your wireless gateway is blocking port 443.

See if you can load https://affiliateadmin.ccbill.com
