It could be a partial bullet proof vest that covers him from the front and only behind his heart from the back.

If so, that would explain why they can't reveal what it was.

I don't buy the theory that he was wired. Such a device would not be that size.

Yes. I am not a Bush supporter but looking back at several pictures he seems to have that back there. I am guessing it is some sort of protection as well. A vest of some sort. Why can it only be seen from the back is odd though. Perhaps its better concealed in the front.

I don't think he is wired, his answers suck too much to be getting fed any info.

My guess if anything is a bullet proof vest. I think he knows a lot of people out here hate him more than just about any US president in History. So you can't put it out of mind that he has to be seriously worried about being assassinated.

Whatever it is its obviously SOMETHING..

Of course the most obvious thing that comes to mind is that it's a transmitter, and many people have pointed out that the size of the "thing" is way to big , as they have very small transmitter's, BUT, you have to take into account that he would have to scramble the signals or the news reporters might catch the signal.

The other obvious conclusion ( and much more likely ) is that its some sort of medical device.

As he has been pictured before with the same mysterious bulge, i think its a medical device..

You don't understand the technology.

The jammer you posted would jam any signal he was supposed to be getting. And the jammer you posted actually fits with the dimensions of the bulge. ( with some extra's )

You would need a scambler and a complicated de-scrambler or someone could record and de-code the signal..

Either way i dont think thats what it was, it would require alot of planning, and quite frankly george bush is not smart enough to be fed info.

I think its a medical device.

If the government built it, chances are you can buy it cheaper and smaller on the consumer end.

Either way you would need more than one device.
