95th Percentile???

A four Mbps line on this 95th percentile thing is equivalent to how many around???

And how much would 4 Mbps go for on average???

That's hard to say. Generally, I'd suggest to keep away from 95th percentile but well

4meg on 95th percentile CAN theoretically transfer about 1000GB per month. But note, that I said theortetically.

For adult sites I'd rather say it's a good 600-700GB on average. For some people it's more, for some less. That highly depends on your site.

My estimate is closer to 400-500 GB but again, it all depends on your usage.
The minimum you'll be able to transfer is 65 GB.

95th percentile simply means that every 5 minutes a sample of bandwidth usage is taken. At the end of the month the top 5% is tossed and the next reading is your month's usage.

Now say you spike 10Mbits for 36 hours of the month... and then the other hours of the month are 1Mbits, you're only paying for 1Mbit at the end of the month. If you spike for more than 36 hours... the highest spike after the 36 top hours, is your monthly Mbit usage..

Hope you understood that. It's rapidly becoming a standard is usage measurement on dedicated servers. You can read more about it here:

Is the glass half empty or half full? Are you willing to gamble?

Why not bill stricly on the avg usage. What you use is what you pay for. A general rule is if you avg 1mbps for the entire month you will use approximately 320 GB+ -. This is an estimate but a general rule of thumb.
