Yao has a promising year ahead of him and he need not be intimidated by Shaq when it comes to center presence. Shaq has 4-5 yrs more before he get's those knees aching. he needs as well to become for physical when it comes to the inside since its his territory and no doubt he has the hands for outside shooting as well.

with the addition of McGrady, you can create alot of plays that centers both Tim and Yao.

They can get up and down the floor now faster. They were easy to beat if you took them away from half-court sets.

That will not be the case this year.

Hard to say that splitting Shaq and Kobe is a good thing. But I have said all along that these New Lakers will be good.

Hey Dave...Ya i watched them play last night. I think they need alot more training...but without Shaq I don't think they have enough for the long run..if you know what i mean. There are so many other teams that are so much better when it comes to playoff time eperience.

Yes Yao is a big pussy and needs to hit the weights. NBA is a lot different then foreign leagues. Kobe and Lamar Odem are going to tear it up. Lamar can shoot and play inside. He's fast and strong. Why would Rudy know how to play Yao. He never coached him. All I can say is if Yao does hit the weights and becames more aggressive than WATCH OUT!!!

It does suck that shaq is gone but they still have good players on the team . They have fresher legs then last year . Also there defense is much improved .
