We cannot "got'em" educated but how about educating the people here in the US? Please let us use some of that 87 Billion dollars to help my wife. Well think about a surplus in these terms.... The govt is hoarding money... Meaning they are collecting money from you but not spending it... Which means you have less money... Which means you spend less... Which means it can collect less next year....

Once you're collecting unemployment for a certain period of time, you're cut off from collecting and thus no longer counted in the "unemployment" stats...but you still don't have a job. I don't think anyones against morality... I think he means it shouldn't be passed into law because everyone has morals that are different. Abortion is a prime example... half the country thinks it's morally wrong, the other half doesn't... it's better to give people the right instead of taking it away because half the population doesnt agree... because if you dont agree...it doesn't hurt you any, just dont have one. But if they outlaw it, half the country losses an option, a choice, and a freedom.

Now here is your chance to get informed on the real story behind the surplus.

I was not being stockpiled simply for the sake of hording all of the money. More than 3 trillion dollars had been earmarked for the infamous Social Security Lock Box. This money, invested in strong interest bearing accounts and other various building practices, would have stabalized social secrity well past the baby boom retirement and their kids retirements with increases of up to 25% in social security benefits.

Now we have nothing, social benefits and veterans benefits are being cut by 37% and social security will be privatized under Bush. He can call it whatever the fuck he wants, his plan has us privitizing it and forces us to fend for ourselves if we ever intend to retire.

Now the rest of the trillons of dollars was earning interest and could have been used to do literally thousands of things. One of the things on the table was providing health coverage to every child in America under 18, that would still leave quite a bit left over if was handled correctly. Not to mention the surplus was still growing. And I hate to put your Bush tax cut to shame but saving parents thousands of dollars in health care for their children would have boosted the economy far better than making people believe they were getting a tax cut until the end of the year once they realized there was no tax cut and it was only a change in employeer withholding responsibilities. If you do not believe that is true, go read a copy of the 2003 and 2004 tax manuals, it is in big ass red print, your taxable liability has actually been raised while your employeer withholding has been lowered which means this January millions of Americans are going to owe money they cannot afford because they believed they were getting a tax break when in fact their taxes were raised.

If your against health care for children then you have proven your Republicanness.

I realize Republicans do not see money as a real thing since most of them have never had to earn their own, however having REAL money to spend is far better than spending borrowed money on credit. Had America been able to aquire a large enough surplus to actually spend in real time with no interest owed I cannot even begin to tell you how much more powerful this country could have become in the next 10 years.

As an Englishman, I cannot vote in your elections, but your decision affects me too.

Both Bush and Kerry are wankers. They are terrible candidates but there is no alternative.

There are thousands of terrorists whose job it is to attack America. If there is another 911 (which is more likely under Kerry because he is not as tough as Bush) then no one will have any money to buy porn, so you're out of a job anyway.

So why not bite your lip and vote Bush for another 4 years until a decent candidate can stand up who can take America forward.

If you want to keep your "cred" amongst your buddies then just tell them you voted Kerry, but don't fuck your country (and the rest of the world) by actually voting for Kerry.
America's enemies want Kerry to win because they know he will not fight them with the same vigour as Bush. That should be something of an eye-opener for you.
