Party Poker people: what $ tables do you play on ?

I just started playing....I put in $100.

I'm playing Texas Hold'em.

I was playing first on the $2/4 table, and lost $40.

I decided to goto the $5/10 table, and in 3 hands had recovered my loss and was at $112

I went to the $10/20 table, played only one hand and won. I'm now at $199.50

Now I'm wondering, with my balance what is the best table I should be playing on ???

With a $200 bankroll you should be playing $.50/$1. I am not kidding. $200 is WAY to little to be playing $2/$4 or above.

True I could play a lot longer on those tables.....but It would take me forever to win anything.

I prefer high risk / high gain, esp. since it's only $100 I stand to lose if I lose it all.

I'm thinking about trying the 10/20 some more, but a few abds hands and I'll be wiped...so maybe back to 5/10

You will lose real quick. Rule of thumb is 100x... so $1-$2 table for your roll.

I've decided I'll try $3/6

I put in $150 of my $199.50 and I'm currently at $232.50 (so $282 total)

WTF, 100x the minimum bet?

That's nuts.

I don't play online, but when I play at the casino, 30-50x the minimum bet is more than enough.

Sitting down with $100 at 2/4 is ridiculous, that's more than enough to play 4/8 with.

What exactly is the sit-n-go?? You pay an entrance fee like a tourny but play right away instead of waiting ?

ie. like a tourny, let's say you pay $25, at the actual table you have 800 or 1000$ or whatever ??

Note to self: Don't play while talking on ICQ, telephone and reading GFY anymore

I just lost my money heh, oh well.....

From my starting $100, I managed to hit $309.50, and now managed to hit $0.50 left heh

Atleast had some fun bluffing people for $75 here and there

Ok....what about cash though, is it the amount you put in, or a certain amount (same for each person) to play with ??

Why? 100$ isnt a very big loss, and I did have it upto $309 before I lost it...

My goal was if I hit $500 I'd stop...

You figure twelve big bets is enough to sit with, huh? That's barely enough to go through one entire hand if there is a considerable amount of raising going on. I love it when you guys come to my table short-stacked.

I had that happen to me at the casino last week...

Sucks though, but given the starting hands people play at 10/20 you have to assume he isn't going to bet with a low kicker... I know I will folded an unsuited Ax unless I'm on the button.

Yeah actually that's what I noticed I like more about the bigger tables.....more people will fold to your bluff on turn or river than when you play low amounts where everyone calls.
