How long does it take your host to set up a new domain?

Lets say you need new domain set up , with mSQL db also, how long would it usually take your host to set up after they receive your email?>

within 24 hours domain is setup and active. I remember when you would have to set aside 5 - 7 days for a domain setup. Those where the days.

Hmm I did get a domain a couple of days ago, it took 35 hours before the whois was working on it.
