Answer is simple
they can't activate search option in GFY
server is barely handling all these posts and hits. Don't expect more. They don't have 64bit powerful servers to host GFY.

Lane's idea is good, searching thru 100.000 posts is not harmful to server (unless its used every second)

but remember GFY has like 5 million+ posts. Thats Insane!

Nice tool

Even when/if GFY has search back, this could still be useful since
it finds posts instead of threads (and links to the thread), which
in many instances is a better option.

It would be nice if it mentioned the name of the poster
