Technical Help, bypassing university mail block!! help!

Hi, on university campus it only lets you send from webmail email... Now i had this problem before and we solved it by finding out what the smtp mail out is by looking in headers or something/

I am not sure how to do this so can anyone help!

send yourself an email and look at the header info again.

You're at a university with a bunch of punk ass kids up to no good like sending spam. What did you expect? Maybe the IT staff got smart on security.

If there is away, bet Smokey would be the one to ask here. So watch for him online.

Other option is use AOL for email. Not sure what your end goal is?

If webmail is working, use it.

They probably blocked all out traffic going to port 25.

Set up a smtp server on any other port than 25 and use that for your outgoing mail and you should be all set.

They have blocked ranges of ports I suspect. port 80 is open.

He's prolly behind a firewall and doesn't have a public IP. A lot of the email he sends won't get to its destination without reverse dns etc. setup.
