I was taking this to be a spam thread that it is.
I don't think its flaunting wealth, 8 years ago I had a 1978 Chevy van that ran off of 7 cyclinders becauase I couldn't afford to fix it.
I think most of us here are self made and I look at it as motivation.

If I could share the stories of some of our webmasters success I would be here typing all day. It can happen to anyone, its how you work it.

All we are doing her is sharing, not flaunting. I look at this place as one big happy family bacuase we are all in the same Biz.

You should ride in a tuned up single turbo Surpa sometime The Supra also handles and brakes very good stock. I have 14" Stoptech brakes and Tein coil overs with custom swaybars.

I like the double bill option.

Actually the buying credit card numbers isn't funny. Fell victum to that. CC company picked up the tab in the end, but there wasa lot of time wated on the phone. I know there are zillions that just pay and don't check. My g/f goes through all my statements. A side benefit of her checking up on me.

We'll do it from a roll, 60 mph to 160 mph

My last setup did 686 rwhp ( approx. 800 horsepower at the engine )

I have 272 cams and a Veilside intake coming now, plus I have a T88 larger turbo than before as well as the new shortblock. Power should be in the 800-850 rwhp range. ( Over 1000 at the crank )

Would be a loooooooong drive to Texas for one race though! lol!

You can find several videos on the internet of Supras killing litre bikes on the highway...

Ok, on a roll, you may take the bike. But it also depends on how much balls the rider of the bike has. That bike will hit 175 but would be crazy to go that fast for a long time.

I've personally done in the 170 mph range but I lost my nerve to go any faster. It was still pulling pretty good!

I've been racing with a 911 GT3 as well and all the track I recall of were full or Porsches runing all day long when other brands were dealing with increasing problems. I recall a Viper with 650hp, good driver, was not very difficult to pass with the GT3 and only 380hp. Just to say power is not all...

That's clearly open for debate.

How many supra's were made? How many are still on the road? In 50 years, how many will still be running.

There are 10's of thousands of 356's being driven and raced.

No, you can't, because you'll never find a Porsche with more than 500 horsepower for less than half a million dollars.

Well, I know the 911 can be modified to produce some pretty good numbers, but nothing like the 800-900+ to the wheels that the Supra can do easily.

356 has an N/A motor. Any engine under forced induction will not last as long. The chassis on the Supra is solid, and the motor is one of the highest engineered from the factory in the history of production cars.

Find any Porsche able to run around 800 rear wheel or all wheel horsepower reliably on the stock block. The Supra can do it!

what for do you need 800 hp when you are allowed to drive 65 mph? muahahaha

here it's 5 mins. to the autobahn and i can drive 160 mp/h as often as i want.

and do you really think 800hp impresses anyone who is a real car enthusiast? I can tell you the answer: no!

because your 800hp are built into some really nasty looking piece of plastic.

ah, and btw: your sig is too big - and it looks like shit too. i think you will be the first person on my ignore list.

thanks for reading.

"real" car enthusiast?

BTW, I doubt you have been in a car with over 300 horsepower.

Ahhhh... thanks for coming out. Sorry, the Supra is a timeless machine. 10 years old and I still get plenty of people asking if it is a brand new Toyota they've never heard of.

Well, I know the 911 can be modified to produce some pretty good numbers, but nothing like the 800-900+ to the wheels that the Supra can do easily.

You are misinformed... I can show you quite a few 911's that are making over 500hp.And they didn't cost anywhere near 1/2mil.
I have my TT chipped and fabspeeds, with the stock turbos and no engine mods and it does 480hp at .8bar boost. As is,the car is faster than i will ever drive it.

But it's really a moot issue. As hp and rw torque is only a small part of the performance equation.I'm sure the supra is a fine, fast car.But i'll stay with Porsche.

Dyno it, my numbers are dyno proven. 686 at the wheels race gas, 514 at the wheels on pump on the old setup.

You may even have more than 480 horsepower, or less...

I'd like to have a Cab for a sunny weekend and see how it compares to my S2000

My favorite Porshe is the 928. If you check out reviews on Porshes the 928 is on the top of the list. It was in the movie "Risky Business" and "Scarface".
