RIP Superman

"Christopher Reeve, the star of Superman, whose later riding accident made him a worldwide spokesman for spinal cord research, died Sunday of heart failure in Mount Kisco, New York. He was 52."

holy cow, I must have missed this somehow.

saw it last night on fox news. very sad indeed. he was more of a superman in real life than on screen. I think his legacy will live on though through his foundation though and continue to push the cause.

Wow. I missed that too. With all the money he put towards & raised for research, I expected him to be able to stand again befored he died.

Sadly this could not be, nor shall not be even for myself since this country places to much faith in mysticism over science.

For those that think he is in a better place, or gasp better off now than living as he was. True I would never wish such a condition on anyone even if they were my sworn enemy. Yet to place death over dissability is very much wrong and if I was thin skinned offensive. I also will take it that better off dead is also again based on the assumption of more mysticism which is sadly ironic.

Wow, he didn't seem old enough for heart failure. Last time I saw him interviewed he was talking about implants to help him possibly walk again.

Disabled people have a terrible life and every waking day is pure hell. They'd all be better off dead. Now just imagine what it would be like to live without the use of arms and legs. Poor souls.
