Dang! MS Messenger is back! How the F**K do I get rid of it this time?

I disabled ms messenger with the admin options..but re-installed ms office, and now the sob is back!

It still shows it as disabled in the options category..but how and where do I go to shut it off from starting up every time I boot up?

(Yes..I do run msconfig and get it out of the start up group too..but that doesn't stop it).

Thanks!

Are you sure your not missing something? Perhaps you disabled the wrong item. It sure as hell should stop it from loading on start up.

Nope..it definitely is disabled, and I keep taking it out of the startup group..but it keeps getting put BACK INTO the start up group for some reason.

I'm missing a command somewhere that over rides msconfig that allows for it to be re-written back in.

If it's the old one included with windows:

add remove programs - add remove windows components - windows messenger (at the bottom of the list)...

if it's the new one its in add remove programs...
