Dang! MS Messenger is back! How the F**K do I get rid of it this time?
I disabled ms messenger with the admin options..but re-installed ms office, and now the sob is back!
It still shows it as disabled in the options category..but how and where do I go to shut it off from starting up every time I boot up? (Yes..I do run msconfig and get it out of the start up group too..but that doesn't stop it). Thanks! |
try starting two GFY threads, that should solve the problem! :winkwink:

Are you sure your not missing something? Perhaps you disabled the wrong item. It sure as hell should stop it from loading on start up. |

I'm missing a command somewhere that over rides msconfig that allows for it to be re-written back in. |

Are you using Outlook? That'll start up messenger. I believe there's an option in Outlook to shit the shit off.

If it's the old one included with windows:
add remove programs - add remove windows components - windows messenger (at the bottom of the list)... if it's the new one its in add remove programs... |
