Call up jr and ask for $500 off. They are legit and often match prices. I see they still have the XL2 listed at full price.

dvxuser.com will have good info on where to get it at the best price from a good dealer.

You could also wait one month until the Sony cam comes out because that is gonna put a big dent in the XL2 sales. Price should drop quite a bit.

well ill be damned, i didnt know they updated the xl series ... this looks damn sweet - although, i will say ive used canons for a long time, and just recently used a PD170 - and i gotta say that PD170 rocks.

Yep, the PD170 is an amazing cam for gonzo-type shooting. However the DVX and the XL2 kick ass in image quality.

I just sold my DVX and will be getting the new Sony HDV cam.
