My question is this:
Is the traffic worth it?
How much traffic can you expect when you submit to every tgp2 out there?

Honestly at this early stage, not massive amounts, but if the galleries are well made you should get good click thru's to the sponsors from the traffic. Now just use sponsors with good conversion rates :0

We've got a lot of things in the works for TGP2 and some of those are traffic deals to get this idea rockin' which we'll be announcing at the forum in Miami.

TGP2 is a waste of your time.

You will spend more time than it's worth making the galleries and adding recips...only to get 10 visitors a day to your gallery. Sure it's better traffic...but at such a small amount...it's really not worth it. Your time could be spend better on other projects.

It's a great idea...but half the sites dont seem to want to put out the effort to even list your galleries.

I have found 1 site thus far that actually lists galleries and sends back more than 500 hits a day...

The quantity versus quality argument has been going on forever and I don't think it will ever change.

I know people with 10K hits a day kicking serious ass in the bankroll department and there are those with a million uniques a day that do just as well.

Maybe some of you don't remember how the concepts of free hosts, consoles and even pay per join were derided as stupid and unworkable when they first were broached --

funny thing about this business is that things don't stay the same for long and the people that go ahead and try something new are the ones that usually seem to make it big...

Thats why you need 20.000+ visitors to your gallery for 1 signup. On a good day of course... Who actually needs a paysite after seeing 500+ free pics a day. I completely agree with TGP2 webmasters - TGP1 is way too much free porn.

Hey I have been watching this thing for awhile, and think it's a GREAT Idea, so I'm planning to convert my tgp to tgp2 here in the next day or so. Like you said, can't make money if you don't try new ideas

Hey Exxxotica, the one thing I was thinking about this is that if they only give out teaser shots, it will keep the gov off your back, and make the surfer buy a membership to see the goodies. Something that gallery submitters should do anyway.

Worse thing that could happen is it doesn't work, and we try something else...

Maybe the point behind TGP2 is that it is a marketing concept that realistically addresses the market segmentation of online adult entertainment.

As noted earlier, a huge chunk of TGP1 traffic consists of underage warez/free mp3/cracks fans or sophisticated adult users.
Either way this is "hardened" traffic that more and more TGP1 sites will work harder to convert, if at all.

TGP2, if promoted properly, is an approach that snares adult newbies to the internet or less "hardened" users. This is actually a greater proportion of the paying traffic.
The key behind TGP2 is to create a network of content that contains these users and converts them.

Bottom line, as conversion ratios increase and more gallery makers flood the market, the industry is in sore need of new ideas and TGP2 is one of them.

well,
the TGP2 is a small community yet but the main point is that you do not need huge traffic to make a signup ! There were posted some stories about how succesful TGP2 is. Even with 1000 hits to a gallery it's not a problem to send 100 to a sponsor! And this is horny traffic willing to see more = signups !!

Our test gallery got 100 hits

It also made 3 signups

So it measures up like:

BW burned less then $ 2
Revenue: 3 x $ 35 = $105

Profit: = $ 105 - $ 2 = $ 103

Now you claim that's not worth your time?

For the record that was a very slick gallery.

We build 10 regular ones now(slapped together in 5 minutes per gallery)

And are running 1:64 ratio with it.

Paying traffic is where the money is, just in case anyone hadn't realized that as of yet -- combined, that is with figuring out that THE SURFER IS NOT YOUR FUCKING FRIEND!

Those that keep right on babying the bandwidth sucking, free loading, not going to buy the cow types should do just that!!! Let 'em stick to their old ways and let them weed out the crappy surfers that aren't going to buy anyway, leaving the ones who can be marketed into spending their money for the people willing to think about how to get that money.

Anything that makes conversion rates legitimately better is good, if you don't believe that then 12clicks is right, and competition has made you stupid rather than smart...

I do more than 150k daily on galleries, and trust me I don't get anywhere near 7 signups per day.

At first I thought that TGP2 was complete bullshit, but it's looking interesting.

The problem as I see it is that already there are a few asshole tgp2 owners popping up. Some require recips, some don't, some want max 15 thumbs, some want max 20 thumbs, some need text links and some need recip buttons, and others want buttons instead of a text link if there are other buttons on the gallery, others want 3 buttons to other tgps, some just want their own text link, some don't want any hardcore and others don't want any softcore ... some have implemented partner submit ... you get the idea.

Where is the consistency here? I thought that this was supposed to be webmaster friendly?

Seems that some webmasters still work with their thumb up their ass!

Actually, we have a gallery pool, which we all use to pull galleries from, as fillers. My rules are not in any way deviant from the original ones agreed upon by everybody. I DO require a recip IF there are others on the gallery. Let's face it, would YOU list a gallery with 4 recips on it, none of them yours? Most will actually be happy to list clean galleries. Let's put it this way, make a gallery with 15 thumbs, of which 5 are linked. Don't put any recips on it and submit it to everybody. If it looks good and it's not overused stuff, you'll get listed by all of them. Simple, eh?
