The pain I felt before emergency gall bladder surgery. I couldn't even walk...I had to crawl on the floor to the phone for help. The ER Dr. said there are only 2 things that can hurt that bad...gall bladder and childbirth.

Gout pain. Nothing worse, and I have endured a lot of pain in my life.

I then took them out like 2 months later, but that hurt like a total bitch

When I pulled a groin muscle doing cross country in HS. that was pretty painful

yeah . . . . I was up on a lift and had to try and find the controls so I could lower it and paramedics could help me . . . it knocked the crap out of me . . . . even bent the fan blade

there was no grill. I was working up on a hydraulic lift wiring up an intercom system for a new Toys 'r Us. I had finished working, when the site supervisor came up and said I did something wrong. I went back up and fixed it the way he wanted it. When I got down he came up and said I had done it right the first time and to go up and put it back the way I initially had it.

By this time someone had decided it was okay to turn the ceiling fans back on (they had been off all day) and since everything on a Toys 'r Us ceiling is white, and the blades were spinning so fast, I did not see them and I walked right into it.

As far as the pain of our breakup, I have gotten used to women ripping my heart out, so I leave it in a safe in my bedroom closet.

Eye Surgery when conscious at age 8.

The worst pain I was in was when I got hit by a car that ran a red light. I was on my bike and crossed on a red light, fucker didn't stop and hit me. I flew like 5 meters and slid on the ground for like 5 more. I didn't break any bones but my body was in serious pain due to the force.

eating a giant green olive stuffed with a habanero pepper and sneezing all the juice out my nose! That Fucking Hurt!

Physical pain:

broken arm after falling 20 feet from a slide when i was about 10 years old bones crossed pushing my wrist 3 inches to the left.

Mental pain:

Has to do with a woman. I'll leave it at that.

That's easy. I had deep 2nd near 3rd degree burns over 18% of my body. The worst part isn't the initial burn, wehich is painful, but several days later when the dead nerves grow back. When I was in the whirlpool and they added the solution to keep out infections to the water it felt every small space of my exposed flesh had a million needles sticking in it. Then of course they have to get rub off all the dead skin that the whirlpool loosened. That was some serious fucking pain.

I fractured my penis which required surgery, that was pretty damn painful, on top of everything I had a cathoter (sp?) I woke up with a morphine drip, that was pretty nice but then when I asked for more they said no..bastards, instead I got Vicadin which didn't really take care of the pain, just made me sick.

Oh yeah, about a week after, with my penis in bandages and blue as plum, my wife was teasing me and causinng a huge hard on which just hurt even more..

Despite all this, I've had more painful toothaches though..

I broke my tailbone, and for one month I was in the most unbearable pain.

Couldn't sit down, couldn't stand up....

Just fucked all around

It's just about the opposite. Those are anesthetic injections to block pain. A spinal tap is when they place a big, long, scary needle directly into your spine to draw off spinal fluid.

Although it has a reputation for being one of the most painful procedures in the world, the medical sites I've looked at describe the pain as mild to moderate...

I think the bad rep comes from the size of the needle. It's VERY big.

Broke my back in two places and that was pretty painfull.

it would have to be when i dislocated my thumb and it was totally pointing in the wrong direction!!! did it playing football and couldnt bend the fucker properly for over a month... to this very day it looks kinda different to my other thumb!

a friend hit my leg with a brush cutter, hit my chin on my leg, cut about 30% into my leg. got my finger sqashed to fuck, the stiching of my nail hurt like hell, hot water from a pot on the stove when i was 4 fell on my arm, ear ache, tooth ache. and nothing beats losing a loved one.

I've never really been in any great physical pain. The most pain i've been in has always been related to matters of the heart. :winkwink:

Jeez, they don't give you a local anesthetic?
I know both the procedures I mentioned involve the same area, b/c I know you can get a horrible headache if they mistakenly draw any spinal fluid out when they do it, but they give you a local to numb the area. It hurt a bit, but more than that it made me queasy...with my second epidural my bp dropped to the point that they had to hold me up b/c i was dropping out, and they gave me an epi-push to bring me out of it. That was very scary...it dropped to, like 15/50, my mom said.
Anyway, I've never had it done, but amniocentisis looks like it would hurt like a son-of-a-bitch...now THAT is a huge ass needle!
