General News Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO - News), a leading global Internet company, announced yesterday the availability of the My Yahoo! Search beta (http://next.yahoo.com), the latest innovation from Yahoo! Search, developed to help users better find, manage, and share search engine results. My Yahoo! Search integrates Yahoo!'s industry-leading search and personalization technologies to create a next generation personal web search experience, empowering users to search for what they want, the way they want.

My Yahoo! Search beta provides consumers with the ability to:

* Create their own personal web index
o Save search results with notes - Users can save any public or private web page, with annotation for easy retrieval of and access to their favorite and important searches, creating their own, searchable, area of the web
o Block individual search results - Users can block unwanted or irrelevant web sites from appearing in future searches, helping to better customize results as well as serving as a first step in combating search engine spam
* Create search communities by organizing and sharing personal search experiences
o Categorize saved searches - Allows users to classify and sort search results according to their needs
o Share - Consumers can share their saved search results with others via e-mail, RSS feeds or as a My Yahoo! module which the recipient can save to their My Yahoo! page

"The My Yahoo! Search beta launch underscores our commitment to providing users with the best search experience on the web," said Jeff Weiner, senior vice president of Yahoo! Search and Marketplace. "We understand that users want greater flexibility and control of their media and information, and Yahoo! is uniquely positioned to provide a personal search experience that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual."

Yahoo!'s Strengths Position Company as a Leader in Personal Search
Yahoo! Search is able to deliver a valuable personal search experience to users by leveraging:

* Global and scalable proprietary search technology
* Breadth and depth of services that will ultimately benefit from personal search technology including local, shopping, travel, news and more
* Yahoo!'s long history of empowering users with the ability to define their Internet experience in a way that is most meaningful and relevant to them
* Direct relationships with nearly 150 million active registered users per month

Currently, users are able to integrate their saved search results into My Yahoo! for easy access. Over time, the personal search experience will be even more deeply integrated into My Yahoo! in order to better provide users with one point of access to all of their favorite content.

Availability
The beta version of My Yahoo! Search is currently available to registered Yahoo! users via Yahoo! Next at (http://next.yahoo.com). Yahoo! Next is Yahoo!'s new technology showcase for innovative concepts where users will have early access to some of the product ideas and technologies being developed by Yahoo!'s product teams.
