Penalty for breaking the 2257-law?

I live in europe.
Im hosting my sites in Amsterdam.

What would the penalty be if I hosted in USA and didnt have all the 2257 info?

The server gets shut down, would anthing else happen?

(of course I dont have any CP pics or other illegal stuff on my server)

i'm not sure but i think they would just suspend your hosting account till you complied or something as long as your not located in the US i don't think they'll fine you or anything

Well, from the way things sound now...nothing. Hosting companies are not held accountable, only the person. Since you are not a U.S. citizen then they can't make you comply with 2257. Now that does not mean that a hosting company or sponsor can't decide not to do business with you, but legally there is not much the U.S. gov't can do.

Talk to a lawyer for advice on 2257.

Boards arent the place for something as serious as this.

But if you get a letter or other things from the US goverment, I would recomment you not to travel to US.
