				 | i just tested my cable connection now... Communications 1.3 megabits per second Storage 161.3 kilobytes per second 1MB file download 6.3 seconds Usually it's around 2-2.5MB/sec.

 1) If you had a simplex network card that could only send or recieve at any given time as opposed to uploading and downloading simultaneously. That wouldn't make much difference. The lights on your router may tell you if it's connected as simplex or duplex. 2) If you had a super fast connection, over 50Mbs, you'd want a fast bus mastering network card.
