I'm pretty concerned about the downtime that epoch gets with the dos attacks, and then it seems that sales are low for several days afterwards. I'm not the only person that has noticed this either.

What is Epoch doing to prevent this in the future? Definately is a major concern, even with the $750 fee waived.

Nobody likes to get slammed with a DOS attack. Look at World Pay today.

We have our systems in place now such that we should be able to fend off all future attacks.

Exactly! And what about college girls or single moms on a limited budget that want to start up a site? $750 is a month's rent and some bills! Not having the VISA fee to spare does not automatically make someone dishonest or unable to run a site and it drives me nuts to see people talk about "if you can't afford the VISA fee, you shouldn't open a paysite." Some of pretty big sponsors probably started out years ago on a shoestring budget.

Nice

I tried to signup with EPOCH about 9 months ago, but couldn't get a US principle ( I'm in Australia ).

So i went with cardsgate who have utterly fucked me around and owe me more than 10K.

In the last week i've got a US principle so i think i'll apply for this.

Epoch guys, does Anthony W still work there ?

edit: damn US date format, thought i had a week left

That's a total bummer! I too was under the impression it was open to anyone. Knew a lot of folks that were planning to use them as backup also.

based on their initial offer, they sure made it seem like it was available to everyone. perhaps they changed their mind at last minute. unfortunate.
