why do people have trouble saying bye on the phone?

"hey, ill talk to you tomorrow. ok...have a goodnight...alright...bye"

people please just fucking hang up the phone after you say BYE the first time!!!!!

My friend always hangs up as soon as he is done talking without saying bye at all, so I am always talking after he hangs up. It pisses me off.

remember when you were young and in love for the first time and you used to never want to hang up on the other person. Used to do things like "you hang up, no you hang up" or "ok on the count of 3 hang up"
