Hey.. Just wondering if anyone knows what's going on. It's been 4 days since I submitted to the hun, and havn't got a confirmation/denial yet. Just wondering because I previously submitted two galleries. One I never heard a thing about, and the other got approved within 24 hours.

So can I assume my gallery was denied? Or what.. I REALLY wish he'd send out denial notices so you can figure out what was wrong with the gallery and fix it..

Only thing I can think of is I had too many text links.

Btw, I recommend lightspeed to anyone. I did 1:170 or so total (listed with almost ALL the major TGP's.. worldsex, thehun, al4a, etc.), with about 8,000 click-thru's on a gallery a lot like that one.

Any help would be appreciated, just wondering if I'm losing time here because I havn't re-submitted. But I don't want to get blacklisted for submitting twice. :P

Maybe it was your sponsor not the traffic. I have never felt like I got a bad shake from the HUN traffic wise.

His traffic converted as well as I expected, and then some. I had no complaints there at all.

My only complaint is why he doesn't tell you why a gallery has been denied. I want to submit him galleries that will get listed, and make him feel like he has a submitting partner in me. But, I'm new at this, and expirementing..

Oh well, guess I'll tweak a couple things that I think *might* be the problem, and re-submit. sigh.

Where is the gallery url? My gallery is not that good, but I get sign ups from the sheer volume of traffic. If you got 80,000 hits and no sign ups its probably either your advertising or sponsor that's needs improvement, not the Hun's traffic.. did ya match the ads with the gallery and make your ads stand out? The Hun is the only TGP that I have luck with because he's not that strict, you can use more than 2 textlinks unlike some other big TGP's that have their rules engraved in stone .

I know I do sound unnapreciative, but I'm not. I appreciate the traffic, and amount of work he puts into it, but I too am giving him a service (ok, lots of other webmasters are too, admittedly), and would appreciate a LITTLE help in giving him that.

Phil ... the Hun is the coolest webmaster ever. I (somehow) forgot about a day, and fucked up my submission schedual ... He kindly wrote me an e-mail telling me to please follow the 3-4 days submission rule... I wrote him back, explaining to him i messed up ... and I got a nice, simple e-mail back simply saying ... "No problem "

Another thing Phil is ... TheHun is a VERY strong believer in letting everyone get a chance to be listed. I've been a TGP submitter for 3 years running, and he works in 'spurts' ... if he knows you submit every 3-4 days, well list you only a %age of the time ... Hun is just being as fair as he can be ... with only 75 (i think) links a day, it's hard to please everyone.

Hell, if you ask me, I'm just thankful that he's not a jackass like worldsex.com and only lists the same "X" number of webmasters each and everyday ...

One suggestion that I'd make, regarding the reason that you've not been accepted is because you've wrapped your pics around the promotional (advertising) text. This is a possibility... the pictures are what a surfer is looking for and should be the focal point of the gallery. Remember, Hun can afford to be very choosy and therefore, he is. With all the submissions, will he see galleries cleaner than your's? Your's is nice, but the likely answer to that question is YES, and no matter how good your gallery is, there is always another guy with a nicer gallery.

Otherwise, you seem to be using sponsor content that could be overused in the eyes of the Hun. Just thinking of how many galleries he has seen, has he seen those pictures 10, 15, maybe even 20+ times before?

I'd recommend going to your favourite content provider (I like David Lace) and purchasing a few of their latest sets. The great thing about Lace is that he has a ton of new content - like 2000-3000+ new pics every day, it's fresh. So tgp owners can't say "I've seen those pics a million times before".

On closing I will say this - you only get one submit every 3 to 4 days. 1 gallery can be worth $0 or $400. Just don't waste it.

Phil I don't think the Hun even owes you a denial message ;) Especially since he doesn't require a recip link. For him to tell you why it wasn't added would take to long considering the volume of submissions he gets... I have the same problem -- but I'll make an exception if I see that some webmaster has potential or exceptional skills -- then I'll work w/ them to see if we can induce mutual benefit.

It may be that he thought the girls nipples in your gallery were in the wrong place... or maybe he didn't like your background color ;) Hmmm... anyway it would take to long to write all those rejection notices...

Sometimes if a really ugly amateur submits to my site -- what am I supposed to do -- tell her, "sorry I think you are (ugly, fat, too old, insert insult here) so that is why I am not linking you..." -- well I'd rather just not say anything ;) Hmmm... (insert introspection here)

For a link site I like the idea where the recip link is optional until AFTER the link has been accepted and posted... But everyone has their own system...

Anyway Phil I wish all your Hun submissions were accepted just because I think you're a real swell guy!!!

If it didn't get listed it simply didn't get listed. It prolly has nothing to do with the gallery. You're better off building a completely new gallery and submitting that instead of tweaking the same shit and sending it again.

I have been submitting galleries to the Hun since Feb, and have been listed several times with a truck load of traffic.
I get email confirmations of galleries I submitted 8 weeks ago saying that they will be posted soon.
So my advice Patience.. my dear man ..Patience and percerverance (I think I spelt that wrong)..keep on submitting

Yeesh guys, I was not "demanding" to be listed or anything, I was just wondering. Like I said, it's very hard for me to plan stuff when I don't know what's going on.

I never said he owed me anything at all, I appreciate the great traffic a lot. If that content was overused, I had no idea. It was given to me as stuff they don't "normally" give out, who knows though.

Even with all the "correct" answers I'm still confused. It could have been anything, and when starting out, it definitely does get somewhat frustrating trying to figure things out. I havn't submitted much.. that was my second submission in a 2 week window.. The other design was exactly the same, give or take, so I'm guessing it was just the content.

All in all, no big deal. I was simply asking if anyone saw anything blatantly wrong about the gallery, and what a "no response" meant. I've been listed other places and recieved no response, and the last time w/ the Hun I recieved a confirmation e-mail from the automated tool stating I was listed, so I expected a denial (even w/o a reason) e-mail of the same sorts. Then I heard of other webmasters being denied, w/o any response.. So I was curious.

That's all, simply a question. I'm the last person to think anyone owes me a damn thing. I apologize if I came across looking like it.

Oh, one other quickie.

I don't get the whole "recip" thing..

I mean, what's the difference to say The Hun if I have his logo at the top of my page, or not. He'd just be getting his own traffic back.. And the back arrow is for that.

I see the reason when you have multiple TGP logo's up there, assuming you submitted to all those and then places cross-trade traffic. In this case though, I think it would be a Lose situation for the hun, since he probably has more traffic than any other TGP's and would send out more than he takes in..

Just a thought. shrug.
