me & some friends went to a beach today to swim and have fun in the sun and blah blah blah....

I go home, take a shower, step out of the shower, look down at my foot...."Hmm..why is my foot bleeding?? And what is that black on my foot?"

It was a fuckin leech! :O I tried to pull it off, the fucker was sucked on my skin so hard.....finally pulled it off and more blood started oozing out! I almost passed out LOL

Are leeches bad?? Good? Neither?

I am never swimming there at that lake AGAIN!

Leeches are normal, nothing big. All lakes have 'em, such is the nature of the beast.

For future reference if you don't want to yank 'em off, you can pour salt on them and they'll dry out and just fall off.

you learn to get used to them up in Minnesota where lake sports are about the #1 activity.

Leeches can't hurt you, They do suck blood from you. But they use a desinfectant to clean the wound and keep from them getting something.

They are just trying to live =O), they cant kill you, like the others said just pour salt on it and it will dry out and die.

You can actually get prescriptions for leeches if you are a burn victim - I don't think most pharmacies keep these in stock though...
