Wash it alot. But never touch it more than you have to. If you ever use automatic washes do only "Touchless". If you hand wash it spend 5 minutes rinsing the car before you wipe it this will clear dust that scratches!

Clean the inside often and use anti drying agents on any dash or leather parts... Stuff like that.

be sure to block the sun from damaging your interior. Tinted windows or one of those reflecty thingys for the dashboard. I use pledge wipes on the dash and stuff because it has a dust repellent, shines the interior and smells great

oh, you can also scotch guard the seats and carpet. If the seats are leather try a leather protector spray similiar to what you would use on tennis shoes.

This man knows his car care.

Zaino is the shit.

My car is a '01 with 44k miles and every so often someone will ask me if it's brand new.

http://www.zainostore.com/

Their polishes have UV blocking ingredients and they don't contain wax. They're very easy to apply and take off and the protection & shine lasts longer than carnuba wax.

I read tons of opinions and reviews on Zaino before I 'invested' in it.

Their stuff is expensive compared to the products you can get at Wal-Mart.

Both carnuba waxes and Zaino polish will give your car a good shine but Zaino is a hell of a lot easier to use and it lasts for months.

The min. you should buy to try out their products is a bottle of Z1 (prep.), Z2 (polish), and Z6 (polish enhancer/anti-static).

Prep. the car by removing all other waxes/polishes by washing with dishwashing detergent.

Some Info & User Reviews

Zaino has somewhat of a cult following.

What's the deal on Armor All? I use it a lot, but I've heard some people say it damages stuff. Anyone know?

i swear that is the truth, first couple of months there is no drinking or eating, knock your feet off and all that, after you get used to it you realize that you eat or drink more in your car then you dont, never knock off your feet and the car may see the car wash like once every two weeks if it is lucky

Reminds me of my buddy that just bought a brand new Ford F150 FX4, totally loaded with every option, leather, 6 pack CD, moonroof, etc.

We picked it up on a Saturday afternoon and within 3 hours, before we even got home, he had it buried in some mud pits in the middle of nowhere outside of Windsor.

He thought he would be cool and show off the 4 wheel drive to me. Ended up having to get a tow truck to pull us out. You could see the pumpkin on the axle scraping into the ground as the tow truck was pulling it out, because his tires were in majorly deep ruts and the whole suspension was bottomed out. Fucking mud everywhere, including inside.

I couldn't help but laugh at him, but that's what he gets for trying to show off. It was funny seeing all the mud inside it, yet at the same time it still had the new car smell.
