yes in the sense that I Will put myself down, believe I didn't succeed to my potential

no in the sense that "failure" would be the improper term to use, because RELATIVELY to others, I would still be a very-much-so winner

Not neccessarily. Circumstances change. 5 years ago i never expected to make this much money this easily, so who knows what might be different in 5 more years.

Hopefully in 5 years, I'll be making the same money passively though.

yes, words such as "failure", "success", "happy" "great", as much as they have to do with yourself, are basically relative terms...

relativity has much to do in our every day life

thats why I said, to myself, I would be unhappy that I haven't "made more" than 5 years ago, having 5 years to work on my projects and such, but if you would take the 5th year and compare it by itself to everybody around you, you might still be a "relative success"

absolutely, we compare ourselves to others on a daily basis, it is almost impossible not to

we find much comfort in knowing that we are better off than the GREAT MAJORATY of people, because it's all it is in this world, how good you are compared to others... how else would a human know when enough is enough?

if you want more or better you have to do something about it such as education or change the way you work or whatever adjustment must be made to improve.

It's not myself I doubt, it's circumstances beyond my control that are the concern.

it's good to be self critical enough to take stock of yourself and admit that you have fallen short - in business, personal life, anything.

but to label yourself a failure as a human being based on that stuff is pathetic. there are many ways to judge whether you are a success beyond $$$. there are missionaries, volunteers, people who work in occupations helping people who make nothing or modest salaries who are far happier than 95% of multi millionaires.
