boneprone, what ever you do keep your records
for the rest of your life.

13 years ago I paid them over $ 10,000.00 with a payment plan, guess what I get a notice for some taxes 2 years ago
and call them, they tell me oh your in collections let me connect you to that Dept. (which is in another city if now
state) guess what they have no record of the $ 10,000.00 I paid and now it's $ 40,000.00+, so I tell the lady and
she ask me to mail my returns and records of payment which by then is 12 years old. Needless to say I trashed
them. I tell her that's 12 years old and she repeats mail her the records and stuff. Hung up the phone, Threw my
hands in the air, said fuck it and went to the Mustang Ranch.

The IRS has a link out from their site to a third party arbitrator for that sort of problem.

And you most likely didn't mail the IRS cash so whatever means you used to pay them can provide you printouts etc of the payments. Might have to pay a fee but it'd be less than 10k!

They put a lien on any real property I may have. Don't have any in my name now though.

They have not even missed with my bank accounts for years. Just send me letters telling me I own them all this
money.

Man those people a missed up.
I know what happen and tried to tell them
but they just give me to another Dept. then that Dept. gives me back to the Dept. i started with.
I finally just said fuck it if they want me
they can come and get my white ass.

Had on guy come to my office and I told him to get out, if he wanted to talk with me we had to do it outside, so he
went outside.
Another time he came over and told I had to go up to San Francisco to some office take a bunch of records with me
(he told what records) and that i had to do it by such and such day.
I told him your going to have to come here
and arrest me because am not going to do it,
that was over some tax returns I hadn't filed yet, I think I ended up owning them around
$ 1,000.00. Anyway when I told him that he just looked at like I was a fucking nut case (which I am) and left.
Never saw him again.
As a matter of fact I did that tax return on RED paper (there scanners can't read them and they have to enter it by
hand) FUCK'em.

Jim

red fucking paper!! hahah that kills me jimmy!!!!!!!!!

Well I'll call them when I feel like it I guess... A lot of people say that if you don't file -- it's very hard for them to do anything because there's very little that they can do to force you to file your return... but as soon as you file though -- you sortof fuck yourself. Anyway I wonder how many porn sites they actually garnish wages from... I mean let's say the IRS wants to garnish my wages... does Lensman pay the IRS and then I get a small % or what's left over? I know they have to leave me some money for living expenses. Seems to me it would be impossible for them to do anything because I could just move my traffic to another program -- it would take a full time IRS employee to surf my site just to see what programs I was advertising each week... unless then took money straight from ibill and ccbill -- how do they do it???

Really I'm only worried about garnished wages -- because they can't kick me out of my apartment... and I don't have a lot of expensive furniture or anything like that that they could take... They can't take anything that is essential to my business.
They can arrest you in some states -- but that's only if you don't appear in court... the judge can only make you pay what he thinks you can pay... Anyway I don't think it will ever get that bad... but part of me really wants to just pull a Jimmy and tell them to go fuck themselves.

Having been thrown on the floor in the past by US Customs Agents, I am no stranger to law enforcement. The IRS is the last agency you want to deal with.

Things have gotten better lately, but if you have any bank accounts, the IRS knows about them. Any mutual funds - they know about them. No they can't take away your apartment, but in the meantime (10 years) you are building up interest and penalties. I have one friend that owed them like 4,000. She has been paying the probably 6 times that amount over the last 9 years.

The IRS almost always wins. If you have no assests, then you are right. But the idea, is to build equity. You simply can not do that if you owe the IRS money - not in any normal sense of the word.

The IRS DOES NOT need to file state law. They are the federal gov't. If you WILLINGLY don't pay your taxes YOU KNOW YOU OWE - and the IRS finds out - they can and will arrest you, depending on the amount and how busy they are. Almost every fedeal agency has a semi-secret amount that they will go after you for.

For example, some hacking crimes are federal offenses, but they will not investigate unless it is like $5,000.00 (That is an example - not the exact amount). On the other hand, the Secret Service can and will investigate you if you pass ANY counterfeit money. I know of one case where a guy passed three QUARTERS. They arrested him (he was burying his son at the time).

People break the law all the time. Some do not even know it. There are tons of federal laws on the books. It all depends on the amount, and if someone complains. It is even a federal offense to impersonate "Woodsy the Owl".

There are some unusual pieces of case law, I do not remember them all, but there are some defenses you can use for tax cases that you can not in a regular criminal case.

Oh, and they will simply take your domain and website. They have done this before and will do it again. The DEA does stuff like this all the time.

Go to a library and open up "West's Federal Reporter" or "West's Federal Supplement" and you will find tons of cases listed like:

United States v. One Thousand Dollars in Currency

or United States v. 37 Miscellanious Websites

United States v. One Parcel of Land located at 742 Evergreen Terrace

These are forfeiture cases. The Gov't almost always wins these.

I have gone up against the gov't a few times in my life and have usually faired well. I had stuff taken from me that I got back. My attorney said I was the first client he had that that ever happened to.

Don't let it happen to you. Do what boneprone did. Pay them. There is also something you can do to settle with them. It takes a few months to go through, but is worth it.

Smokey the Bear is out too (just didn't want you to get too prepared) - here is the link for those who doubt:
http://resource.lawlinks.com/Content...itle_18_33.htm

There are some wierd MD crimes as well. Adultry is a CRIME in MD. It is only a $10.00 fine though (very old law - they tried to use it against a cop to get him fired, but it didn't work)

Spitting on a railroad car is a crime too. I think it is like a $3.00 fine.

Just call them and tell them you need to speak to someone who can set you up with a payment plan.

They will ask ya lots of questions, so be sure to tell them that you are one of the internet dot com guys that mader bank last year but have been struggling this year..

I think they have a separate department that handles fallen dot coms!

I talked to this new person and she gave me a real sweet deal in terms of monthy payments.. Also my first paymet insnt till AUGUST 21!

I picked the 21st cause 21 is Blackjack, and Im gunna need some table luck to help pay this off!

Fly -- You need to be an employee to have your wages garnished, and unless you are receiving checks from someone that is withholding taxes, social security, etc, then you are not an employee -- for instance even though we may send you checks, you are not a CCBill employee.

Therefore garnishment of wages doesn't work in that case.

However, don't start jumping for joy just yet. I'm sure that the IRS has many legal avenues at their disposal to find ways to help you along in deciding to pay them.

Personally I would do one of two things -- neither of which involves listening to anyone on this board really --

1. Get a tax attorney to work it out with them for you.
2. Simply start sending them money, 25 dollars a week or a month, with your SSN on the memo of the check, and on a slip of paper initially. They will most likely start sending you tax bills in return for each check and while you probably won't make a dent with that small amount versus interest and penalties, there is still a reason to do it
