wait wait wait, someone simplify, too many words to read and understand right now :eyecrazy just tell me - was it subway (y/n), how many lbs you lost, and what it took. - either that or i'll end up reading it later when im a little more awake.

grats on the weight loss though - i hope im not posting a thread in the future that says FIT to FAT.. might just happen though if i dont get back to the gym

rocki 09-23-2004 08:27 AM

awesome story Brad... I have actually been on this program since i got back from the internext convention in florida. I was 140 lbs and now i am 132 lbs. So 8lbs lost in a few weeks. This is my program

7am- egg sammy (1 egg, wheat toast)
10am- apex protein bar
lunch- dry turkey sammy with a squirt of miricle whip, raw veggies, ie, carrots, cucumber, or sweet peppers etc...
2pm- apex protein shake and 1/2 banana
5pm - work out
7pm- 3oz of meat, brown rice, and green veggie

i work out 3x a week on weights, once week a spinning class usually in the mornings, once a week kick boxing, and once a week outdoor sports... ie... indoor rock climbing, hiking, bike riding, rollar blading, water sports- kite surfering, kyacking, wake boarding, etc...

And you are correct by what you say... It has to be a way of life... So when i get down to about 120 i'm going to be adding cheat days on the weekends so then i have a good balance and won't crave junk.

Believe it ppl it is not as hard as you think it is... just need to break old habits...

:thumbsup :thumbsup

lol thanks Ben.

anyone is open to new ideas, but just observed that yourself and seek are the only two (i've noticed anyway) with a firm grasp on the health / weight loss industry and are experienced/intelligent in the field, not just pushing off pills or trends & attempting to "look" knowledgable just to make a buck with spare traffic...

hit him up he's always down for convo.

Ben why are you wasting your time telling you story here?

What you need to do is sell you picture to muscle mag and let them use it with the newest diet pill, i.e. hydroxicut or something.

Maybe you can be the new Jared (the subway guy)

Make some money off of this, all you have to do is be prepared to lie a little, and in this biz i am sure you can handle that.

Congrats and good luck.

BradM 09-23-2004 01:27 PM

Well about 2 days of regular eating and I easily burned off 6lbs.

Amazing how fast it comes off when you balance a proper diet.

SexuallyDriven 09-24-2004 02:41 PM

Good job for those of you that are working out and trying your best to loose weight. I recently started going at it again and have seen an increase in muscle mass although I have only been working out for the past 3 weeks but this week I had to take off do to other obligations.

Hopefully all of us webmasters will become healthier and have a better fit. Working on the computer 24/7 sure slows our matobolism.

i think if you lose weight gradually you are less at risk to get them

woot? I already have them because I gained weight too fast.
I was wondering if they will disappear when I get back to a normal shape..

JK. Great work. But I don't need to loose weight. THe interesting part for me would be the "build up your muscles"-part

Hehe when you're fat you get to take pictures with girls...

...when you're thin and in shape, you get to pick and choose which hottie you want to hit!

Huggles 12-22-2004 12:16 PM

I've been going to a personal trainer for a month and a half now. At $720 a month you should see gains, and I am!

I'm really getting into shape, and some of my friends WILL notice a difference at Internext. I fucking love getting in shape, I feel so damn good. The ladies notice too ;)

Health, looks, energy... you can't go wrong with being in shape.

You look great, man. Big grats.

Centurion 12-29-2004 03:26 AM

Maybe this thread will give some others the inspiration to set some New Year's goals of losing weight!

Since I started my "diet plan" of high protein, low carb, excercise in 4/03, I've lost 70 pounds..so has taken me a tad longer to lose a tad less, but I'm still happy with the results!

Drake 12-29-2004 03:45 AM

That's incredible, good for you!

More Booze 12-29-2004 04:31 AM

I have lost about 35 lbs (16 kilo) so far, a lot of it thanks to this thread(Ben).
I still need to loose another 30lbs but I will probably be done with that until next summer.
Maybe some girls will look my way for once, lol. :love-smil

This thread is a great source of inspiration.

bizmak 12-29-2004 04:32 AM

Some shocking things "THEY" don't want you to know...

HFCS ( High Fructose Corn Syrup ) is a "super sugar" that can be found 3/4 of the packaged items found at the market. It's biggest hideout is "Fat-Free" items and near all baked goods. While fructose can naturally be broken down by the body in moderation, high fructose corn syrup cannot. It's a manufactured form of fructose that was designed to save food company's money because of it's extremely low cost. Problem is, it's the easiest sugar for our body to convert into fat.... and it's in almost EVERYTHING!

Here's how to cut it out of your diet. READ LABELS! Look for organic foods/breads/cereals that do not contain HFCS. Usually organic brands will replace the HFCS with honey or regular sugar that your body can break down and use for energy. Simply think natural... If it's not a fresh food, don't eat it. If it comes in a package or bag... don't eat it. EAT FRESH FOOD! Buy lot's of meats, vegies, dairy products, etc... The food manufactures are the enemy.... they are not looking out for your health. They choose products such as HFCS and tran's fat's to save money, preserve shelf life, and artificially improve taste.

Now onto TRAN'S FAT'S.... this stuff is by far the most evil thing invented.

There are four kinds of fats: monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, saturated fat, and trans fat. Monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat are the "good" fats. There is a conflict of opinion about saturated fat, but the majority opinion is that consumption of saturated fat should be kept low. Trans fat from partially hydrogenated vegetable oils is very bad, much worse than saturated fat.

Basically, tran's fat's are another manufactured evil from the food industry to save costs and improve shelf life... Problem is, it's reducing human life! They literally take regular fat's and TRANSform them into Tran's fats. A good example would be Oil to Crisco. With the fat transformed, it can now be added into all kinds of foods to "lock flavor in". Making foods taste buttery and delicious no matter how long they have been on the shelf. Regular fats would grease up manufactures packaging in a matter of weeks from just natural separation. Tran's fats do not separate. How do you stay away from them? Well... once again look for organic foods, or prepare fresh food yourself. Sure, it might be harder this way, and your foods may spoil faster, but your doing this for good health. If you wanted convenience... you'd look like every other overweight American.

Simply put.... STAY AWAY from anything that says... High Fructose Corn Syrup , partially hydrogenated, or shortening.

These products are basically a reverse lypo-suction.

:glugglug

kid, everything you are saying here is RIGHT ON THE MONEY.

i am an old guy and do exactly what you are doing (i do ride my bike 8 miles a day) and my body looks almost identical to yours at age 55.

flat bellies bang more beaver. keep telling the kids your age this message, most are overweight and will die young unless they follow this plan exactly.

OG LennyT 09-12-2005 12:37 PM
