the second one is odd, he puts the pen over the key hole wiggles it then pops it open, but he's holding the top part by the pen which seems unlikely unless theres a key in the key hole keeping it on the pen.

Yes, one of the most popular U locks. Plus they range from 50 - 150 bucks.

A mate of mine got his bike stolen this very night, probably using this "exploit.

He had no idea about it. I sent him the links to the vids, and he's gonna try and claim on the insurance.

Doubt he'll get anything though.

Yeah it's a tricky one to find. It's the hole you put your key in to unlock it.

Did the company issue a statement yet? Would be interesting what they have to say. Wonder if they will go bankrupt.

smells like class action shit to me. lots of bikes will get jacked
because some dumbfuck engineer was too busy thinking about
all the dollars he'll make with the lock, and not about if it will
actually work.

Don't throw them out just yet. Kryptonite is promising free replacements (on certain models) for locks less than two years old and "deep discounts" on replacements for those who hold older locks, like me. www.kryptonitelock.com

Would you trust a company that sold you a useless lock the first time ?? even if it was free, you would have to be a moron to use this companies products again..
