Bigger ADS == Better RESULTS .. GET IT ??

Well, everyone new this, but now 3 independant firms confirmed it ... Bigger ads convert 40 % more then the standard banner ... and the most effective ads oif all? Yep, thats right, the one that pop between you and the page your trying to read

Now I don't know about you, but it sounds pretty stupid that everyone tries to sell more stuff will less ads ...

Is it bigger ads convert better, or bigger ads just PULL better?

I find it hard to believe that these ads bring in 40% more SALES. I can understand more clicks, but I would like to see some raw data here.

They are basing these off of real popups and some of these are so misleading (such as the click here to upgrade your browser one) that I can certainly understand people clicking on it.

They need to run a controlled study on SALES, which they did not. It would be easy for someone on here to do. Simply have a sponsor that allows two different accts. Present one with the ad no popup and group two with ad with popup. Randomly serve the pages and whala!

But they did not do that, wonder why....

Another example of crappy science. I thought that with eToys and the other big boys going out of business that the world has learned that brand recognition (which is what the study measured) means CRAP. I want sales.

Hmmm... That article is full of shit, at least when it comes to the many, hard-working free-site and gallery-creating webmasters, even smaller TGP owners. Branding? What, your sponsor? Please, that's not making ME any money. The probability of me getting a sign-up, from someone viewing my free site/gallery/TGP, just because they've heard good things about the paysite I advertise is not too overwhelming. I can certainly agree that there is a certain amount of branding going on in the business, when it comes to the bigger names, but that branding is more targeted towards webmasters, the busy little ants, than towards the surfing public. I mean, come on, do you really think the big TGP's/Link Lists would get that many submissions just because their sites look good? Would sponsors make that much money if it weren't for the gallery sbmitters? Plus, what do the mainstream webbies know anyway? They're fucked up in their heads, that's why they're going under. Never seen/heard of so many bankruptcies in my entire life. I understand that the IT business is experiencing growing pains (amazingly enough, after so many years), but how come the adult business keeps going, while many mainstream Internet businesses hardly break even?
