I find it hard to believe that these ads bring in 40% more SALES. I can understand more clicks, but I would like to see some raw data here.

They are basing these off of real popups and some of these are so misleading (such as the click here to upgrade your browser one) that I can certainly understand people clicking on it.

They need to run a controlled study on SALES, which they did not. It would be easy for someone on here to do. Simply have a sponsor that allows two different accts. Present one with the ad no popup and group two with ad with popup. Randomly serve the pages and whala!

But they did not do that, wonder why....

Another example of crappy science. I thought that with eToys and the other big boys going out of business that the world has learned that brand recognition (which is what the study measured) means CRAP. I want sales.
