Baton Rouge here, but good luck to those in N.O. I am sure they will need it.

It will hit late tonight/early morning. We are already getting a little wind, but nothing major. We will probably just get some wind and a lot of rain.

It's not NO it's hitting, it's Mobile. Right now they're saying the Bama/Mississippi line. Then it's turning east and heading straight through the middle of Alabama, towards Georgia.
Hopefully NO won't get completely flooded. We're not hearing much about them right now. What are the local news stations there predicting? It's about 90 miles from Mobile atm. I'm north of ground zero, but I'm already getting the winds.

I know N.O. is not taking a direct hit, but they are 10 feet below sea level on a normal day. It will not be pretty for them.

New Orleans is a disaster just waiting to happen.
I read that 30 foot tidal surge waves can leave parts of the city underwater for 2 months. |
