TAIPEI: A 13-year-old boy was arrested in Taiwan for allegedly running an online sexual services site and recruiting minors to join it, reports said last Saturday.
Police said more than 100 boys and girls had signed up for the website, called "elementary and junior high school students enjokosai ring," over four months, according to reports in several newspapers. "Enjokosai" is the Japanese term for "compensated dating," which usually refers to youngsters trading sex for money or gifts. The boy reportedly told police he started the website because he was "bored" and only had the computer to play with. It was unclear whether any of his members had met clients via the site. The case will be heard by a juvenile court and the boy could face up to five years in a juvenile correctional facility and a fine of T$1mil (RM113,000) if convicted. -- AFP ![]() |

My first time to Taiwan I flew into Taipei and as the plane was landing they made an announcement on the speaker that said:"Any passengers found with illegal drugs would be punished by death."
I always fly with valium or zanex to help me sleep on those long flights and to help with jet lag, and I did not have a prescription for it... almost shit my pants, as did plenty of other people because about 20 Americans suddenly got up at once and hit the bathrooms. Everyone flushed whatever they had, it was pretty comical. I probably would of been fine with what I had, but I didn't know what their definition was of an illegal drug... no chances. Some Asian countries are fucked up when it comes to law. |
