My first time to Taiwan I flew into Taipei and as the plane was landing they made an announcement on the speaker that said:
"Any passengers found with illegal drugs would be punished by death." 
I always fly with valium or zanex to help me sleep on those long flights and to help with jet lag, and I did not have a prescription for it... almost shit my pants, as did plenty of other people because about 20 Americans suddenly got up at once and hit the bathrooms. Everyone flushed whatever they had, it was pretty comical. I probably would of been fine with what I had, but I didn't know what their definition was of an illegal drug... no chances. Some Asian countries are fucked up when it comes to law.
