Anybody here actually seen Ground Zero in NYC?

Its one thing to see it on tv but when you are actually there and see it , its fucking crazy.

Makes you realize how big the space was and such.

The memorial also brings you down ans stuff and puts you in check as to the level of death and what happened there.

Was there last year in Jan for the NYC show. Quite a shock when "what you saw on TV" hits you.

I was there last summer and walked over the site through that catwalk to the other side. It was very unnerving to see such a huge open spot and remember the visuals of what happened there.

I was there last year when I was having back surgery in NY. It was very depressing to see those massive buildings gone. I had seen the towers many times before that and just could not believe how massive and tall they were. It was like there was the NY skyline and then a little farther down were these 2 unbelieveable skyscrapers. I am glad I saw them before they were gone but it is quite depressing how something so massive can be gone and how many people died.

I was there in the spring of 2003 along with Dugmor, Jscott, and many other webmasters

It was amazing to see how big it was! It was also very sad to see and I'll never forget the feeling I had in my stomach as I looked at the area

i really thought about it yesterday and i wish to see ground zero and how massive the area is.

is it possible to get some panoramic photos or something since i can't really afford going there right now

my ant worked in the wtc and she just went to get a cup of coffee when it happend, she said that body parts fell all around her.

I haven't. My dad and I were talking about this yesterday.

I'd like to see the memorial, but I really wish I could have seen it during the clean-up, as well.

Very moving to say the least.

I live in staten island, right across the water from manhattan. Alot of people here work in the city....including my next door neighbors son who worked in the twin towers...Tom was at work the day they fell....we lost him in the tragedy. I live next to it and still can not comprehend the extent of what happened there. I was asleep that morning when it happened. I woke up to my mom telling me what had happened. Jst to show how human nature is...I went back to sleep...it was almost like it wasn't real, just something you see on tv. Sad, very sad..
