In dire need of info...feeling a little desperate lol
Ok, since we have been holding out for an offer from a company in North Carolina and they are bullshittin' around, and it is getting closer to D-Day (my fiance has to be at work, in Boston, by Aug. 1st) it is looking more and more that we are going to HAVE to go to the Boston area.
The company is actually in a suburb..Franklin. Please help kind friends ![]() I've already done an enormous amount of research on the web and the company has sent us every newspaper in Mass. But, I need personal opinions. Where should we live? We already live like paupers on an upper middle class salary (Manhattan Beach, CA) just due to living where we live, the papers say that "metro west" area of Boston is the 5th most expensive area in the country. Uhhhh....been there done that...and without the snow, thank you. ![]() Also, hotspots to go in Boston, How are race relations (remember, I have a mixed son...black/white)? Or just anything you want to say about North England as a whole would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks guys, please excuse the long post. ![]() April [This message has been edited by aprilkorova (edited 07-15-2001).] |

Thanks Rose, that is comforting. I love large cities, and I've never been to Boston. That is something I'm looking forward to.
![]() And if nothing else, I'll get to explore that city in and out, just like I did LA. Love the exploring thing. ![]() |
