Put a half inch of water in a small glass. Light a match. AS SOON AS the match finishes that big "flare", throw it in the glass, and drink the water. This has only failed me once.

It is the sulphur from the match.

Apply gentle pressure to both of your eyes (while closed). Do this intermittently and they should stop. The phrenic nerve, which is attached to the diaphragm and innervates the eyes also, is spasming. Usually, gentle pressure of the eyes will help.

Or else do the match thing.

That's just stupid.

You have a pinched nerve, no big deal. The scientific remedy is to apply ice to both sides of you adams apple for awhile, but that doesn't always work either.
