My dad is married to a russian woman and I have 4 siblings with 50% russian descent.

I used to live in St.Peterburg, plenty of married in cousins etc.

I once had a friend who did his military duty in the russian army, the chechens carved him inside out, literally.
I am not trying to protect either side here. This conflict goes back to the dawn of the russian/caucasus nations.

A lot of russians hate the chechens for their brutality, luckily unaware that what comes around goes around.
I am not protecting either side here, it is a fucked up war and I for one will not accept more relatives being killed due to it.

However, what they did in Beslan is beyond belief. Unfortunately a large part of the people in the caucasus will have to pay for the cruel actings of a very select few.

He has posted that pic at least three times in the past month, along with his usual american flag burning pics.

I don't believe the war in Iraq was justified...in fact I believe it was started on outright lies.

However before I direct you to pick up the latest edition of Hooked On Phonics I'll explain what this thread IS about.

The day of the WTC tragedy you know...9/11 and the following days Many foreign webmasters came on this board and others laughing and celebrating the fact that America was hit like it was...stating it was what we deserved.

No one deserved what happened that day...no one deserved what happened to those in Breslan...but you don't see Americans jumping on boards claiming they did.

You are quite right but don't forget America returned that favor in WW1, WW2 and even bailed you guys out of Vietnam.. With out America, France would probably no longer be a country but just a territory under German rule.

I fully respect what you are on about Crockett.
If you take a true stance to it though the war was mostly won on the eastern front, kursk and stalingrad. Not exactly something you see in history books though.
But sure the western fronts helped a lot, and the us provided russia with tons of supplies for one.

I am not trying to belittle your effort in any way, you provided the russians with resources and gave your lifes at the western beaches. Still, the war was mostly decided on the eastern front, not the western. Also remember that I come from a coward country (used to be a world power) who did not bother to get involved in the first place.
