My dad is married to a russian woman and I have 4 siblings with 50% russian descent.

I used to live in St.Peterburg, plenty of married in cousins etc.

I once had a friend who did his military duty in the russian army, the chechens carved him inside out, literally.

If you take a true stance to it though the war was mostly won on the eastern front, kursk and stalingrad. Not exactly something you see in history books though.
But sure the western fronts helped a lot, and the us provided russia with tons of supplies for one.

I am not trying to belittle your effort in any way, you provided the russians with resources and gave your lifes at the western beaches. Still, the war was mostly decided on the eastern front, not the western. Also remember that I come from a coward country (used to be a world power) who did not bother to get involved in the first place.
