This damn generator that I borrowed sucks! It is one noisy SOB and has a gas tank the size of my kidney, needs gas every 30 minutes. We just got our cable back today and phone. Made it through the storm ok, a little damage to the backside of the house. Pictures to follow after next refuel. So how did all of the other Melbourne people do? Be back shortly....... LOL

Yea they are. I heard sammy was out of town ( I think in Thailand) and her car got smashed. Hope every one is OK. Got to go refuel.

My brother is at my ranch in Gainesville, and lost power on saturday. ( no cable in that area ) he said that they got power back on wednesday.

Not much damage, just some downed branches.

The power company in the area goes around the county every 6 months, and cuts the branches away from the power poles. But then the main relay is not in the county and that is what got hit.

Power out to over 1.7 million people. We have been witout power since 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Gas is still hard to find. Especially at stations like this one. Most you have to wait at least a half hour and they are sold out same day as delivered. We got lucky tonight and got gas at a local Wal Mart just at 11:45 before the Brevard County curfew from 12:00 midnight til 6:00 a.m.

Our new traffic control devices?

My mother in laws kitchen roof laying in backyard. Her apartment is on the backside of our house. Luckily she was away during the storm.

Still in need of power for a/c

We're closer to the west coast, and things got banged up pretty bad over here, too. A lot of flooding problems, and still a couple hundred thousand people with no power. Let's see what Ivan is going to throw at us.

I've got a friend who works at a Home Depot... need a generator?
