I read that book, I loved it. I also read Angels and Demons and I liked that one much better. I have been at the very end of Deception Code for weeks now, I have been too busy to read the last 10 pages.

A much better book on medieval symbolism and mysticism is Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum.

da vinci code is overrated...
it was an okay 'book'... but, since it's fiction, it's not that great..

First part is better than second part.

It's a typical American bestseller in as much as it's exciting while you read it - but afterwards you find that it's not worth remembering.

Other, better books are worth remembering for the rest of your life.

I have read both Davinci Code and Angels & Demons. You are right, they are hard to put down, Dan Brown is a genius. Every time I thought I was ready to put it down, I couldn't. I read both those books in just under 3 days. They are also making the Davinci Code into a movie directed by Ron Howard.

hard for me to finish the book due to my busy schedule, hope it comes out into theaters soon. I heard enough on how good the story is, about time to bring them into the cinemas houses.

I just finished both of them. Thought "Angels and Demons" was the better of the two. Ending of Di Vinci was a bit of a let down, after A&D.

And, you're right. It's fiction. Don't even consider starting a new "cult" because of it.
