Pascal's Wager. The silliest argument for religion in history. Let's look at real odds by adding in the other factors.... which god do I choose? If I choose the wrong one, I'm damned anyway. Once I've chosen the right one, which translation of that religion's bible do I use? The odds keep getting narrower.
And what do I have to lose by believing? How about my freedom to research and hopefully discover TRUE answers that might have otherwise contradicted my dogmatic beliefs?
Suddenly the wager looks entirely different. Best odds are in disbelief.
