exe files wont work (winxp)
i cannot run any programs or files that end with .exe.anyone have any suggestions?
iv searched all over google and cant find anything,and i really dont want to format my drive. please help |

are you running bear share? when I was running bear share, I was having teh same problem. I had to unistall bear share to get it to work. If not then what computer brand are you using, and how old is it?

Rename the .exe to .com and it'll work. You've got a virus.

actually im using Firefox and im not having any problems with it,im just having problems trying to install or load any exe file.
i scanned for viruses and it found none,i have tried everything that everyone suggested and still no luck. |

Go to startup tab and uncheck all there. Then restart your pc. If you'll still have the problem reinstall this fucking system ;) |

i tried reinstalling windows yesterday and ,also ran the system recovery program and point restore.
