Crazy, crazy story....

For a few months now, around midnight a few times a week, I've heard someone outside my window. Each time I get up to check, noone's there. I've been thinking it's my imagination until about 4 nights ago. I woke up and peeked out my window and saw someone's shadow. I called the cops but by the time they got here, noone was there. So the next morning, I had sprinkled some uncooked spaghetti (silly, I know) outside my window so I could see if anyone was actually stepping around there. Sure enough, the next day it was all broken to pieces.

So I tell my brother all about it...him and his best friend (who is also a sheriff around here) planned a stakeout for tonight. Right about midnight I heard my brother's friend yell "STOP! FREEZE!" They had to chase him around my apartment complex for a minute and finally shoved him down and held him at gunpoint until the cops got here.

What a fucking sicko!! Some 52 year old man who lives about 4 blocks away. The cops are also checking to see if he might be our infamous BTK! Scary stuff!

Ahhh, finally I can get a good night's sleep.... :thumbsup

where exactly is your window :Graucho

Marcus Aurelius 09-03-2004 05:46 AM

Problem solved. :glugglug

sherie 09-03-2004 06:09 AM

Well I am glad that he was caught! What a creep.

I'd strongly recommend the deployment of a 90 lb 4 legged GSD security system on your property.

If someone wants to peek in my windows this is who they see looking back at them.

And this is how he's trained to say hello to uninvited guests.

Glad you're OK !!! Good thing that friend was a sheriff!! Around here, they would of arrested them for banshing a firearm and let the perv go.

Ya know, if he would of said something nice to ya in a polite way and in the open, he might of seen more :Graucho :Graucho At least he wouldn't be in jail.

He will get out of jail at some point. So take care. Sounds like your brother will lookout for ya though.

Thanks for all the pics on GFY.

Creepy story.. glad you thought of that and got help too.

Agree with getting a dog.. just do it, they're friendly, and they warn you and chase critters away too.. Also, get a motion sensor floodlight. You can even get ones that signal you indoors if the light goes on outdoors.

Anywho, happy endings are great :)

I can always lend you Russell - he is good with the ladies already

he has also foiled a robbery at my place already - someone was trying to steel my car and he was on it in seconds - I came out to my driveway to see footprints in the snow and a wire hanger sticking out my car door. They know when something is wrong and are the loyalist friend you can have.

We have the senor lights on all corner of the house. Our next door nieghbors do too and this week, someone broke in and robbed them. No one was physcally hurt, but they don't sleep as well at night. They also have a dog. The pet was not trained to protect, but typically makes noise when someone comes around.

The neigbors on the other side have a German Shepard. Someone comes in our yard he doesn't know and it's all teeth. I'm sure the four foot chainlink between the two properties is not a porblem for him. He respects it when we're in the yard + it took several weeks before he stopped barking at us after we moved in.

The problem is they often keep that dog in a pen with fence on all sides including the top and they take him in at night. That dog would make for some protection, no doubt!!

The right dog makes some sense if you are concerned. That's not the total solution. Maybe your brother should show you how to use a revolver if you don't already.

PurrrsianPussyKat 09-03-2004 09:08 AM

Wow!
So glad to hear you're alright!!!!

Scary to think about the new proposed 2257 rules making your home address available to every guy like that out there.

BTK Killer = Bind Torture Kill:

"Police in Wichita say they're now certain that a poem sent to a TV station in 1979 was written by the serial killer known only as BTK. Now, they're appealing for help from anyone who might have more information.

The initials BTK were used on letters claiming responsibility for eight Wichita deaths between 1974 and 1986. The killer went silent before sending more letters this year.

Police called a news conference today to discuss a poem sent to TV station KAKE in June 1979. Investigators believe the poem is tied to a burglary at a home where BTK's intended victim failed to show up at the expected hour.

The TV station received a photocopy of the poem, which is called ?Oh Anna, Why Didn't You Appear?? Police now hope to hear from someone who might have seen the original writing."

NikkiNevada 09-03-2004 01:59 PM

Well I've just spent half my day up at the damn courthouse. I have a temporary PFS (protection from stalking) filed and gotta go to court and face the sicko in about 2 weeks. Then there will be another court date set to testify about the whole ordeal too.

Aron is checking right now to see if the guy is actually a member of my site. It was kinda funny lastnight...the cop working my case actually recognized me as NikkiNevada :Graucho
He thought it was pretty neat...told me how his son loves Tiffany Teen :)

Odin88 - My brother is fine with my site, he's a good guy and suports me all the way.
KRL - I'm thinking about getting me a little guard dog :winkwink:
Mario - Can I borrow Russel as a temp? lol
cfU - You're going to be late AGAIN?? Are you having an affair? I'm NOT warming your dinner up for you again, you can eat it cold! :glugglug

Anways, the guy was let out of jail today by 1:30pm our time. They sure didn't keep him long... they never impounded his car either (which I think is wrong) so he came over here and got it while I was at the courthouse.

Just an update for those who care! :)

fris 09-03-2004 02:03 PM

glad to see everything is a-ok. happy you are safe :)
