ESPN top 25 most effective players of our time
I don't like Bonds or any new age "hit 4 million homers in a season" baseball players on this list. Why not put the guys that did it back in the day without the roids?
Check out Jordan on there multiple times ![]() 2 Lakers....good list. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2...testseasons/25

This could have been number 1 if you ask me.
BARRY SANDERS, 1988, Oklahoma State 2,850 rushing yards, 7.3 per carry, 44 TDs, Heisman The numbers have to be fiction. Well, they are, sort of: the above numbers do include Sanders' 222-yard, five-TD performance in the Holiday Bowl. In the regular season, he totaled 3,249 yards of total offense. In one five-game stretch, he rushed for 320, 215, 312, 293 and 332 yards. And those are the facts.

you bring up a good point of using enhancement drugs, yet somehow these guys never impress me since the ol' days of baseball was about baseball not $$$.
Hard to feel good about any player today who would stop playing or pushes himself not because of the sport but because it could mean an extra few million in his pocket

Would have thought Larry Bird would of been in that Top 25 list, also if Marino won the SuperBowl, think it would of been a better ranking.

Ray Lewis?
Ben Wallace? Defense is rarely accounted for, yet it remains the basic premise of most sports.
