Wow, one of the smaller firms is located like down the street from me and offers more than double that of my current bank (RBC). Waterloo Regional Credit Union doesn't sound so bad. Anyone have experience with smaller CU's like this? Do these investments fall under the FDIC protection or are they not covered?

Real Estate... I also just looked into rates in Brazil and it is 8% for smaller deposits.

strange that TD Canada Trust isn't on the list.

The minimum investment amount outside of your RSP is $5,000 and $2,500 within your RSP or RIF.

Check out ING Direct, I've found their rates better than most banks because they don't have to set up physical locations all over.
